Tim Collyer is an award-winning writer based in Wiltshire, whose work spans speculative fiction, literary drama, and darkly comic tales of the everyday gone awry. His stories often explore the strange edges of ordinary life—where a small twist in reality can change everything.

Recent honours include winning the inaugural New2theScene Flash Fiction Competition, being Runner-Up in the Pokrass Flash Fiction Award, and the DuMaurier Literature Award. These achievements have encouraged him to keep pushing his writing into new territory, whether through experimental flash pieces or layered, emotionally rich short stories.

By day, Tim works in financial services, helping people plan for their futures. By night, he imagines futures of an entirely different kind—populated by flawed heroes, unsettling worlds, and unexpected humour. His professional background has taught him precision and structure, skills he brings to his fiction, while storytelling offers him the freedom to explore the unexpected and the impossible.

When not writing, Tim brews craft beer, grows chillies, and quietly observes the world for moments that might later find their way into a story. He is fascinated by how people navigate uncertainty—whether that’s market volatility or a ghost in the hallway—and enjoys blending wit with depth to illuminate those moments.

For Tim, writing is equal parts craft, curiosity, and connection. Each story is an invitation for the reader to step sideways from the ordinary and see the world from a slightly different angle.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!
